JACOMB-HOOD, GEORGE PERCY (1857-1929)
Professional artist, studied at the Slade and under J.P. Laurens in Paris. Exhibited RA and Grosvenor Gallery. A founder member of the New English Art Club. Vice-President of the Royal British Colonial Society of Artists. Appointed one of the official artists for the Delhi Durbar 1902-3 and accompanied the Prince of Wales tour of India 1905-6. Correspondent for ‘The Graphic’ and official artist for the Delhi Durbar 1911-2 for King George V and Queen Mary.
