WD1006-1009
4 illustrations by two different hands ('B.J.J.' and 'W.W.P.') for ‘From sepoy to subadar’ (Lahore,1873), the alleged memoirs of a Company sepoy translated by Lieut.-Colonel Norgate. The drawings were loose inside Norgate's own copy of the book (see Urdu Printed Books Catalogue) and may have been intended as illustrations that were never used.
Purchased (together with Mss Eur D600) 15 September 1960.
