SANKEY, Sir RICHARD HIERAM (1829-1908)

Sankey served in the Madras Engineers from 1846-84. During the Mutiny he was on special duty at Allahabad. He was Chief Engineer of Mysore from 1864 to 1877 and ended his career as Chief Engineer and Secretary of the Madras Public Works Department and Member of the Legislative Council, Madras.
