Quarto, measuring 200 x 162 mm, original red cloth binding, with decoration in gilt on upper and lower boards; edges gilt; pp. xi, [1], 192; with 13 albumen print views, mounted one to a page with letterpress captions beneath each image, of Lake District scenes associated with Wordsworth's poetry. The printing of the photographs was undertaken by Russell Sedgfield. A number of the views are the same as those published in the first edition of 1864 (see shelfmark1347.f.21), but as the introduction to this edition states, the re-issue of the work 'has furnished an opportunity for giving several new photographic illustrations, in place of some of the old ones.'For other editions, see shelfmarks 1347.f.21 (1st edition, 1864), 11651.e.8 (4th edition, 1870).
