Octavo volume measuring 240 x 165 mm, original green paper covers, with title printed in letterpress on cover; pp. 45, followed by ten photographic plates, mounted one to a page, with letterpress caption beneath. The photographs show close views of various wood-eating insect specimens. The author of the report, R. H. E. Thompson, was Assistant Conservator of the Garhwal Forests. The text, dated 17 August 1867, is addressed to the Commissioner of Kumaon, and was written in response to a call for such a report made on 26 November 1866.Another copy, in blue paper covers, at BL shelfmark 7074.i.55.
