Folio, read half-leather binding, with title 'Architectural illustrations of the principal buildings of Beejapore' stamped in gilt on upper board, 570 x 395 mm, titlepage, half-title, list of plates; letterpress page of introduction to each of the six buildings illustrated: the Gol Gumbaz, Ibrahim Rauza, Jami Masjid, Mehtur Mahal, Taj Bauri, Ashar Mahal. These are photographic copies of the architectural drawings produced under the superintendence of Philip Lewis Hart (Bombay Engineers) between 1851-52. The original pen-and-ink wash drawings produced in the course of the architectural survey are also held in the British Library, APAC shelfmark WD 1620-1693.
