Anonymous and undated copy of a manuscript ofthe Chinese divination text 'Zhou Yi' (Changes of Zhou), part of the 'Yi Jing' (Book of Changes), originally transcribed and annotated by Kiyohara Nobukata 清原 宣賢 (1475-1550) in 1509-1510.
Original colophons: on folio 94 verso: 永正六年六月三日終書寫之功即加朱墨記 給事中清原朝臣為 / 以證本校正了 (判形如此).
On folio 204 recto : 永正七年一月十八日終書写之功即加朱墨記 / 給事中清原判.

Format: Text arranged in 8 ruled columns per folio with 14 characters per column. Chinese text is annotated throughout for Kanbun kundoku.
Material: Ink on paper.
Dimensions: 285 x 210 mm.
Binding: Judging from the position of British Museum ownership and acquisition stamps the manuscript was originally in 4 volumes but was later rebound into 1 volume and bound in half-leather binding.
