Pentateuch
Contents
Summary of Contents: Pentateuch with Targum Onḳelos in the margin, the Hafṭarot with the Five Scrolls in the margin, with punctuation and accents.Language(s): Hebrew, Aramaic
ff. 1r-301vTitle: Torah, hafṭarot ṿe-megilotTitle: תורה, הפטרות ומגילותLanguage(s): Hebrew, Jewish Babalonia AramaicThe Pentateuch and the Hafṭarot have Targum in the margins.
The manuscript is imperfect at the beginning and at the end, with many leaves missing after folios 8, 56 and 59.
Outer half of folio 218 is from another Ashkenazi manuscript (?), containing the last end of Numbers (from the middle of Num. 36:9 until the end of the book), and a scribal formula: חזק ונתחזק הסופר לא יזק לא היום לא לעול' עד שיעלה חמור בסולם. נשלם ספר במדבר הבורא יאמר לכל צרותינו עבר א'ב'כ'י'ר. Folio 87 is also an addition probably from the same Ashkenazi manuscript.
There is a similarity in punctuation and accents to MS Harley 5683 (George Margoliouth, Catalogue of the Hebrew and Samaritan Manuscripts in the British Museum, 4 vols (London: British Museum, 1899-1935; vols I-III repr. 1965); IV, Introduction, Indexes, ed. by Jacob Leveen (London: British Museum, 1977), no. 69.), Cf. [Ginsburg_1880] 7.
