ff. 1r-20vTitle: PolyglotTitle: פוליגלוטThe title-page constists of an ornamental design with the title in the centre.
The manuscript contains biblical and liturgical pieces, respectively written in the following languages: Latin, Greek, Hebrew, Syriac, Aramaic, Ethiopic, Arabic, Persian, Coptic, Spanish, Italian, French and German, in the following order: 1. Formula Orandi, 2. Fidei Confessio, 3. The Ten Commandments, 4. Canticum B. Virginis, 5. Canticum Zachariae, 6. Canticum Simeonis, 7. Institutio Baptismatis, 8. Institutio Eucharistiae.
The Latin, Greek, Syriac, Arabic, Ethiopic, and Persian of the biblical passages are taken from the Walton's SS. Biblia Polyglotta (London, 1657). Under the Coptic version of the Lord's Prayer is written: "Ex Celeberrimi Viri Athanasii Kircheri Prodromo Copto."

Sir Hans Sloane (b. 1660, d. 1753), baronet, physician and collector; purchased as part of the Sloane collection from Sloane's executors and incorporated into the newly founded British Museum in 1753.
