ff. 1r-300vTitle: Sefer ha-shorashimTitle: ספר השרשיםIncludes an appendix on the Aramaic words in the Hebrew Bible. Folio 2r opens with a preface. The epilogue precedes the Aramaic section in the manuscript.
The subscriptions and headings of the alphabetical sections are nearly throughout in rhymed lines.

Folio 300v: deed of transfer (date erased), recording the sale of the manuscript by the widow of R. Yisrael to Avraham Rafael ben ῾Azriel, the names of witnesses being Binyamin ben Yisrael and Shelomoh ben Yitsḥaḳ.
Camillo Jaghel: inscribed with his name, 1619 (folio 299v); see [Popper_1969] 50-56.
Andrea del Monte: inscribed with his name, 'ho revisto questo libro io andrea del monte' (folio 300r).

Moses Wilhelm Shapira (b. 1830, d. 1884), antiquities dealer of Jerusalem: purchased by the British Museum from him on 24 November 1877: inscribed, back flyleaf (i)v.
