ff. 1r-1vTitle: Latin deed with a Hebrew acknowledgmentAcknowledgment, written on the back of a Latin charter, of a receipt of £10 out of the Barton claim and declaration that half has been been received on behalf of Isaac ben Joseph. Signed by Berachiah ben Elijah.
The Latin deed is the acquittance by Aaron, the Jew of Lincoln and Benedict Grossus son of Pucella, to the men of Barton [Barton-upon Humber, c. Lincoln], for £10 10s paid at Michaelmas after the death of Roger [de Pont l'Evêque], Archbishop of York [ob. 26 November 1181].
