Numerous explanatory notes by an anonymous scholar in Arabic, but written in Hebrew character, are found in the margin thorughout the manuscript.

Collation

25 quires of 10 leaves each (folios 4-241), 1 quire of 6 leaves (folios 242-248), marked by catchwords and signature at the end and with signature at the beginning.

Condition

Damaged leaves at ends, repaired and infilled.

Usage stains.

Very dark paper.

Yemenite semi-cursive script of the 15th century.

Additions:

Folios 1 and 251: two astronomical tables, probably a 16th century addition. Folios 1 is mutilated.

Folios 2 and 3: an index to the biblical passages in the Dal᾿alat Al-Ha᾿irin, apparently of 17th century. The beginning is missing and in the last column (folio 3v) the biblical indications have not been filled.

Folio 248: a short additional piece, of probably 16th century.

Folios 249 and 250: fragments of Saadia Gaon's Arabic commentary on the Psalms; parchment leaves of probably 14th century.
