Sefer ha-ziḳuḳ by Dominico Irosolimitano
Contents
A collection of notes and lists for the censorship of Hebrew books.
Language(s): Hebrew
ff. 1r-136vTitle: Sefer ha-ziḳuḳTitle: ספר הזקוקIn a form begun by Dominico Irosolomitano in 1597, and continued later with entries of books printed down to 1612.
The book itself is preceded by the following sections: 1. folios 2r-3r, a list of special anti-Christian passages to be noted by a censor; 2. folios 3r-3v, notes on the healing power of the precious stones names in Ex. 28:17-20; 3. folios 3v-13r, an alphabetical index of the books names in the work itself, under the following heading in Italian and Hebrew: 'Tauola di tutti li libri qui segnati per Aplhabeto'; 4. folio 13r, a memorandum (apparently taken from a note of Irosolomitano) of books and manuscripts examined for censorship in different places.
