The date in the document has been deliberately changed, apparently to increase its value. Thus the date 5318 (1557) is incorrect, the correct date is 5518 (1757). See Sabar, The Beginnings of Ketubbah Decoration in Italy, p. 97, n.6.

f. 1r an illuminated double border: outer border of cut out patters on red-coloured background, inhabited and embellished, with representations of zodiac sings, inner border made of micrographical design (portions of Song of Songs, Ecclesiastes, Psalms); in black and colours.
