The title within the manuscripts attributes the work to Maimonides (on this see, Samuel Klein, Toldot ha-yishuv ha-Yehudi be-Erets-Yiśraʼel : me-ḥatimat ha-Talmud ʿad tenuʿat "Yishuv E.Y.," Tel-Aviv : "Mitspah" 695 [1935], p. 128).
At its end (ff. 50a-52a) is an excerpt from a composition on the grammar and the accents of the Bible, mentioning David Kimhi.
