A copy of a set of regulations for Sungŏm 巡檢, a system of police established in Korea in 1894.
The manuscript was formerly owned by Alfred B Stripling who served as an adviser to the Korean Police Department from 1896-1904.

Format: Written in a pre-ruled notebook printed in Ōsaka, Japan. 10 lines of characters per page. The first two folios have corrections in another hand.

Binding: Originally in an East Asian side-stitched binding, now rebound in Western style.
