- Title:
- Group portrait of officers of the 2nd Royal Lancers (Gardner's Horse). Photographer: G. W. Lawrie and Co.
- Scope & Content:
- Formally posed group portrait, mounted on card, of uniformed officers of Gardner's Horse, posed in front of a bungalow. The group includes Lieut. Col. Kenneth Stewart Davison (seated third from left), grandfather of the donor, who notes in an accompanying letter: 'My grandfather ... commanded the regiment from 1901-09, and my father, Douglas Stewart Davison, joined the Regiment in 1908; so that it is just possible that he is also in the photo. If so, then he is probably the officer on the right of the two sitting on the ground; but it is not an undoubted likeness...'
