Each odd folio has the printed text, each even folio has the handwritten commentary.

Foliation in pencil is continuous including both the printed and the handwritten folios.

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 515: inscribed with his name (fol. 1r); purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924: inscribed on back flyleaf (i)v.
