Dark green buckram binding; the sewing style is unusual since there were no pre-existing holes but the needle is used to produce a series of overlaping loops.

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 888: inscribed with his name on flyleaf (ii)r; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924.
