- Scope & Content:
- This collection contains 220 handwritten, printed and typed paper documents addressing a variety issues of the Uttukuli Zamin and the estate such as communications, acccounts transactions, notes of machinery shops, astrology, land matters, notice on election campaign and house tax receipts. The communication related documents are letters and telegrams; accounts transactions are receipts and account documents. A variety of documents are related to the social history of the Uttukuli Zamin. Their participation in municipal administration, association with various various government departments and officials, etc. This collection comprises 6 series : (1) accounts and receipts; (2) horoscope; (3) Ccmmunications; (4) land; (5) personal notes and notices. These documents are dated from 18-09-1903 to 04-07-1948 and some of the documents are undated. Note that collection 51 belongs to another family member of this lineage and therefore contains further documents about the Zamin estate. Dates of original material: 18-09-1903 to 04-07-1948 and undated documents. Extent and format of original material: The collection consists of 220 handwritten, printed and typed paper document.
