Scope & Content:: This collection contains 10 copper plates, 15 handwritten paper document, 83 notebook and 30 palm leaf bundles. These documents are addressing various issues. The copper plate deals with security (kaval) rights, legal documents, official documents, land related documents, letters, poems and rights to access water for irrigation from lake. The paper documents dealwith issues such as petition, judgements and agreements related to Ur panchayat of Kulamangalam Panayur Urar Uravinmuraikal;.Official documents contain receipts, loan and accounts of various villages and temples. Land related documents include land loan, land lease, settlement and account details. This collection comprises 9 series: (1) Accounts & land NB, (2) Land loan PP, (3) Letters NB, (4) Litterature PL, (5) Panchayat NB, (6) Panchayat PL, (7) Panchayat PP, (8) Rights and agreements CP, (9) Transaction PL. These documents are dated from 1811 to 1945. Dates of original material: 1811 to 1945.
