A thin folio volume, containing original letters of Francis Atterbury, Bishop of Rochester, John Potter, Bishop of Oxford, Brian Fairfax, Dr. Wall, and others, together with some few copies.

Later curatorial note: ‘This volume has been rearranged. The fourteen letters from Atterbury to Mr Williams, 1728-1731 form the no. 5143, and were presented by Nathaniel Channey Esq. 20 Apr. 1787. They are bound up with the letters presented by Mr John Nichols, 15 Dec. 1786, forming the no. 5144. To this last no. (when the volume was rebound in 1849) have been added seven letters from Atterbury to Trelawney, and one from Bp. Potter to Atterbury, formerly placed in Add. MS 6408 and presented by the Revd. Wm. Morice in 1815’.
