Extensive iron gall ink corrosion.
Layout
Columns:1
The MS has been put together from several paper batches but there is a continuity in the writing style across the batches.
Even left margins.
Brown ink.
Hand(s)
Samaritan majuscule script of the 18th century.
There is some doubt about who wrote this text. There is an undated colophon on the last folio (fol. 55r), in which Abd Allah b. Adballah b. Assad b. Salama b Sarur claims to have written 'this writing' on a Tuesday. However his handwriting is not similar to the other hands found in the MS.
The majority of the text is written by a late 18th-century hand on an 18th-century tré-lune paper.
Some folios (18-19) appear to be in a different hand.
The ḳitsah markings of ff. 1-28 are different from the general qissah mark found in texts and look as if they are identical with those of Salama b. Jacob b. Ab Sakhwa b. Abraham b. Ishmael (cf. Add MS 19012).
