Hebrew title (added by later hand) on fol. 1r: "דינים משולחן ערוך בדרך שיר מר' משה בן צור מקאשטילא" followed by Latin note (by the same hand?): "(Idest) Praecepta Mosaica, carmine reditta, auctore Rabbino Mose Ben Tzur. (Ita Edelmannus supra scripsit.) [illegible monogramme]".

Fol. 1 is on guard, and it is not part of the first quire.

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 998: inscribed with his name on fols. 2r, 50v; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 23 April 1931: inscribed on paper slip glued to inner cover.
