Part I is inserted into Part II: front flyleaves (ii)-(iv) and ff. 5-7 constitute a quire in the middle of which Part I (a quire of 4 leaves: ff. 1-4) is inserted. Ff. 8-9 is a bifolium glued to f. 7.

No catchwords.

Brown cloth binding. Boxed.

Spine with M. Gaster's label: 'פ הקטרות 557-561.'

Provenance and Acquisition

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 561 and 557: inscribed with his name on ff. 1r, 4r, 9r; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 8 April 1929: inscribed on f. 9v.
