Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 561 and 557: inscribed with his name on ff. 1r, 4r, 9r; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 8 April 1929: inscribed on f. 9v.
