ff. 1r-206vTitle: דרשות ובאורים על המקרא ועל מאמרי חז"ל במדרש ובתלמודTitle: Derashot u-veʼurim ʻal ha-Miḳra ṿe-ʻal maʼamre Ḥazal ba-Midrash uva-TalmudA collection of homilies and notes on biblical and rabbinical passages by a Turkish rabbi of the second half of the 16th century, perhaps Abraham ben Isaac Laniado?. There is a reference to the author's Magen Avraham on fol. 66r, line 10. The MS contains portions of commentaries on the Psalms, Job, and Proverbs and Abraham ben Isaac Laniado is known to have written such commentaries (see his preface in Magen Avraham).

Fol. 30v: "דרשה שדרשתי על פטירת אבא מארי ועטרת ראשי ... קודם ר"ח סיוון משנת השס"ז".
Fol. 149v: A reference to Elijah ibn Hayim.

Parallel Hebrew foliation shows that the MS is incomplete at the beginnning: fol. 1 is fol. 34 (fol. לד) according to the Hebrew foliation.
Catchwords in some pages including last page (fol. 206v), which shows that the MS is incomplete at the end.

Water damage, mould, usage stains, smudged ink, worm damage.
Numerous leaves have been patched, reinforced.
