Paper codex of the 18th-18th century.Form: codexMaterial: paperSupport: Paper with laid lines and chain lines, watermark is partially visible: a unicorn? (fol. 8).Extent: 89 folios (i+89+ii)Dimensions (leaf): 160 × 110 mm.Foliation:Foliation in Arabic numerals. Parallel Hebrew foliation in ink: fol. 3 = fol. מז. It shows that there are leaves missing at the beginning.
Collation
Leaves and sometimes bifolia on guards.
Condition
Usage stains, water damage, worm damage, smudged ink.
Leaves at the beginning and especially towards the end are more severely damaged. Several leaves are patched and/or lined with silk gauze.

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 946: inscribed with his name on fol. 1r; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 26 November 1929: inscribed on back flyleaf (i)r.
