According to the colophon, the scribe copied the book for his father.

Foliation in Arabic numerals in pencil. Parallel Hebrew foliation in ink, which shows that 3 leaves are missing at the beginning (fol. 2=fol. ה).

Folio 7v is blank except some pen trials.

Catchword on every page.

Condition

Very fragile leaves with holes, some have been patched or fixed with silk gauze.

Water damage, usage stains, worm damage.

Text in the margins is damaged due to rebinding.

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 275: inscribed with his name on fols. 1r, 17v; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924: inscribed on back flyleaf (i)v; date of accession 22 February 1928: inscribed on back flyleaf (i)r.
