Hebrew verses have Tiberian vocalisation, the Aramaic verses have superlinear vocalisation, and the Arabic version is not punctuated.

Marginal notes by various hands.

Fol. 153v is blank except some notes by a different hand.

Parashah signs with very simple ink decorations (e.g. fols. 1v, 13r, 47r, 66v, 76v, 108r).

Additions:

Scribbles in ink and in pencil in the margins throughout the MS (e.g. front flyleaf (iii)v, fols. 1r, 8r, 26v, 44r, 94v, 197v).

Imitation of stamps in ink and printed impressions of coins(??) on fol. 197v.

Provenance and Acquisition

Ownership inscription on fol. 1r: "יוסף ן’ מו’ סעדיה".

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 3; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924: inscribed on back flyleaf (i)v.
