Contains letters of a social nature, discussing tennis, cricket, and dinner or lunch plans, and letters where Pinter refers to plays, poems, or performances (Betrayal, Catastrophe, and One For The Road). There is also material relating to the publication of The Catch: A Correspondence (2003), a fine press edition of a written exchange between Wilkinson and Pinter about a legendary catch made by the latter whilst playing for Gaieties Cricket Club. Includes Wilkinson’s original written questions to Pinter about the catch and Pinter’s replies which formed the main text of the book. A numbered (2 of 500) copy signed by both Wilkinson and Pinter is also included. Copies of poems by Pinter (‘Death (Births and Deaths Registration Act 1953)’, ‘Cancer Cells’, ‘To My Wife’, and ‘Laughter’) are included, as is the text of his Wilfred Owen Award acceptance speech, 18 Mar 2005, and a photocopy of the programme for The Lord’s Taverners’ tribute to Pinter, 27 Sep 2009.
