A collection of liturgical poems for the festivals.

ff. 1r-6vAuthor:Title: פיוטים למועדיםTitle: Piyuṭim la-MoʿadimIncipit: יפית ונעמת צבית חן עין לשם שבוIncludes piyutim for Sukot, Hanukah and Simhat Torah.
Most of them were composed by Yiśraʾel Najara (first poem, see Davidson י3401).
Incomplete and partially vocalized.

Folio 7 is a separate leaf, not part of the text block.
In the digital surrogate, the folder containing the MS and the separate fragment is shown as back flyleaves (iv)-(v).
Collation
A single quire of 8-1 leaves: fols. 1-6 and back flyleaf (i).
Condition
Currently, the MS is in three parts but all three are stored in the same box: the text block (constituted of fols. 1-6) and a larger paper leaf from a different MS (fol. 7) are put into the same folder; the original binding of the text block is in a separate folder underneath.

Illustrations of musical instruments: wind instruments (fol. 2r); an organ and a pair of string instruments resembling a harp and a mandolin (fol. 3r).

Fol. 7 is a paper leaf from another liturgical MS. Perhaps it was inserted into the binding (dimensions: 191mm×120mm).

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 1057: inscribed with his name on fol. 1r; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924: inscribed on back flyleaf (i)v; date of accession 3 October 1931.
