According to the colophon this older MS was owned by (?) Shapira. In Gaster’s handwritten catalogue it is written that the manuscript was copied from MS Livorno.
Includes Rabbinic Midrashim and sayings, as well as tales, fables etc.
With numerous quotations from Maimonides and the Zohar.
Fols. 126r-131r: history of Tobit (Ma’aseh Toviyah), for the second day of Shavuot; with editorial notes in pencil.
Editorial note on fol. 621r: מדף 616 עד זה 621 נכתב בכ"י בכתב מאוחר ואינו דומה בשום אופן עם כתיבת ... הספר שהוא יותר קדמון וכנראה ... כמה מאות בשנים..
Colophon on fol. 681r is written by Moses Gaster and dated Heshvan 5652 (1891 CE).

Front flyleaf (ii)r note in English by Moses Gaster: "The original MS of these פירושים על התורה was: Paper. 4° no paginas; correctly written, but badly bound, so that in my copy which follows the original exactly the pages will also have to be transposed(?) certain pages towards the end are written by a different, modern hand (1560) they seem to bave been originally at the end, but have been bound badly in that place where they are now. The watermark of the paper is partly like this [drawing] & partly [drawing]. It is very deteriorated towards the end, the top back parts rotten away through dampness & the writings also much faded. The pages will have to be transposed thus:".
