Ownership inscription on fol. 1r: "מקנת כספי מאת ... משה אהרי"ט נר"ו ונתנו במתנה לי יצחק אהריט נר"ו".
Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 1022: inscribed with his name on front flyleaf (iii)r and fols. 1r, 95v; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 29 September 1931: inscribed on back flyleaf (i)r.
