Accompanying Material
ff. 1 and 244 are leaves from a 15th-century parchment MS containing Maimonides' Moreh nevukhim in the Hebrew translation of Shmuel ibn Tibbon. Fol. 1 contains a portion of chapter 19 of part II; and fol. 244 the latter portion of chapter 24 and the beginning of chapter 25 of Part II. The marks indicate that both leaves had been used as pastedowns.

Giuseppe Almanzi (b. 1801, d. 1860), bibliophile: his manuscript no. 120; his library including 322 medieval Hebrew manuscripts were purchased en bloc by the British Museum in October 1865 for £1,000 through Asher & Co., Berlin dealer to the British Museum (see [Paisey_1997] 131-153).
