The first 72 leaves contained a printed work, Miḳraʾ Ḳodesh (Sabbath prayers according to the Aleppo rite, printed in Livorno, 1884), which has been removed from the volume and catalogued separately, see now 01916.a.27
The manuscript includes: piyuṭim by 'Yosef David' (f. 111r), 'Refaʾel', 'Ezra', 'Mordekhai Abadi' (f. 163v), 'Avraham Antebi' (f. 203r), etc.

Ownership inscription on front flyleaf (iii)v and back flyleaf (vi)v by Joseph Abraham Hamwee, 247 Cheetham Hill Rd. He was most probably the son of Abraham Hamwee (born Aleppo, died Manchester).
Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 169; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 8 October 1927.
