Previous foliation in pencil shows that the leaves used to be bound in a different order (fol. 55 used to be fol. 1).
Another previous foliation in ink shows that numerous leaves are missing from the beginning.

Leaves are very damaged (avoid touching media), have been conserved, but tissue hinders text.

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 1070: inscribed with his name on fol. 55r; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; 24 October 1931.
