According to Meir Benaiahu, this notebook is the first volume of another MS housed in Moskow (Ginzburg 476) (see, Benaiahu, Igerot).

Contains letters from Torino from the years 5444-5446 (1683/4 -1685/6) (e.g. f. 5r).

Yehudah Baḳi's (יהודה באקי) letters on fols. 19v and fols. 33v-34r.

Fol. 34r: Letter by Yehudah's son, Shimshon Baḳi, the rabbi of Casale.

Ff. 14r-19r: Question and responsum by Isaac ben Josepy Treves. Question on ff. 14r-14v with Judeo-Italian appendices dated 1603 and 1652 beginning: פייו אביאמו קונציסו איש אקוראטו אה דיטה אוניוירסיטה קי טוטי לי איבריאי קי אל אוינירי קון ליצנצה נוסטרה סאראנו אינטרודוטי אד אביטארי ....

Reply on ff. 14v-19r, ending: הנראה לעד כתבתי מעפר דל הצעיר יצחק בכמ' יוסף טריווש יצ"ו כותב וחותם פה טורינו ... כסלי תט"ו.

Mentioning the Jewish communities in the Duchy of Savoy: כל הקהילות יצ"ו הדרים בממשלת רוממות הדוכוס מסאוויה... (f. 14r).

F. 19v: letter dated Torino, [5]445 (1685/6 CE).

Ff. 20r-23v: responsum on ritual slaughter by Joseph Alkalai (יוסף אלקלעי), dated Verona, 6 Nisan 5410 (1650 CE). Beginning: ראובן שחט שתי בהמות גסות בזה הדרך היינו תחילה חתף העור הגס ואח"כ לקח בידו .

Ff. 24r-25v: responsum by Joseph ben Michael Ravenna, dated 1647/8; begining: המועדות כארמרן כי הא דנד"ד משמע נמי דהאי דינא דכשמוצא אדם את בעל דינו .

F. 26r: testimony concerning a widow of Torino. Mentions for instance Isaac Romlingo (יצחק רומלינגו), Isaac Avuhav Avraham Sornaga (יצחק אבוהב אברהם סורנאגה), Constantinople (קושטאנטינה). Beginning: במותב תלתא כחדא הוינא יתבין נחנא בי דינא.

Ff. 26v-28r: Tenaim (engagement agreements); beginning: הקדמת אשי תנאים מכ... משה קציגין עם זוגתו(?) מרת יהודית בת ר' אברהם סגרי.

Ff. 28b-29r: ; beginning: נדרשתי לאשר של מעכ"ת בענין ואציעה מלין ואומר לא להלכה ולא למעשה".

Ff. 29r-30v: Piṭka de-luṭata (פתקא דלטותא, lit. letter of curse), or Decree of Ban for Obtaining Evidence, a conditional curse to ensure that a witness does not withold any evidence. Beginning: פתקא דלטותא.

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 441; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924.
