ff. 1r-26vTitle: כתובות ושירים למצבותTitle: Ketovot ṿe-shirim le-matsevotFor deceased who passed away between 5625 and 5638 (from 1864 to 1878), most of them are from Venice.
Mention of Trieste on ff. 10r, 13v, 17v; mention of Venice on ff. 17r.
Includes also poems in honour of various people and events.

Parallel Hebrew pagination in ink by the scribe. Ff. 9-13: seems to be an insertion: Hebrew pagination restarts. From fol. 14, Hebrew pagination is the continuation from f. 8v.

4 quires: i8 (ff. 1-8), iifive? ff. 9-13, iii8 (ff. 14-21), iv6-1 (ff. 22-26).
Catchword on almost every page.

Smudged ink, especially on f. 10.

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 587: inscribed with his name on ff. 1r and 9r; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 15 April 1929.
