The direction on folio 223r, col. 1 shows that there was another volume of the manuscript to complete the services for the year's festivals.

There are many additions and notes in the margins, especially comments on piyuṭim (e.g. folio 2r, 3v), variant readings, alternate modes of pointing, and directions as to the special ritual in case a festival falls on Sabbath (e.g. folios 18r, 25r, 44r).

Adolphus Asher (b. 1800, d. 1853), Berlin bookseller and dealer to the British Museum (see Paisey, D., 'Adolphus Asher (1800-1853): Berlin bookseller, Anglophile, and friend to Panizzi' British Library Journal 12 (1997), pp. 131-153): purchased from him on 12 June 1852: inscribed, folio 261v.
