The arrangement differs a little from both Harley 5648 and the printed editions, and dine ḥalitsah are omitted altogether.

On f. 43v there is a mezuzah form with biblical rules of writing it, and on f. 44r, the biblical passages used for tefilin are written out in their requisite form.

Ashkenazi semi-cursive script of the 14th century, unpunctuated. Yehudah ha-Kohen: the words Yehudah and kohen are marked numerous times in the text (e.g. ff. 1v, 4r 7r, 7v, 8r, 12r, 16v, 13v, 18v, 21r, 24r, 25v, 26v, 31r, 43r).

Provenance and Acquisition

A formulae of a marriage contract, of a release of claim on a property and of mezuzah (f. 43v), of tefilin (f. 44r), and of a power of attorney (f. 44v). Tinmont 5067 [1307]: date and origin in the formulae of a marriage contract and of a power of attorney.

Luigi da Bologna: inscribed with his name: 'Revisto per mi fra Luigi da Bolgona del ordine de Sa' Domenico, Marzo 1599' (f. 30v); a converted Jew working for the Inquisition as censor (active at the end of the 16th-beginning of 17th century), see [Popper_1969] 104, and appendix § 112-117.

Camillo Jaghel: inscribed with his name, 1613 (f. 30v); see [Popper_1969] , appendix § 50-56.

Renato da Modena: inscribed with his name, 1626 (f. 30v); see [Popper_1969] , appendix § 132-133.
