ff. 1r-206vTitle: Ginat egozTitle: גנת אגוזNote (mostly in Latin, but occasionally in Hebrew) are found in numerous places in the margin.
Folios 11-1 (formerly marked 196-206) contain a number of Latin pieces in the following order: 1. a Latin translation of Sefer yetsirah (folios 11v-8r); 2. a letter headed 'Joannes Tritemius Abbas Spanhamensis Arnoldo Bostio. S. et sincera in Dno caritatem' and dated 1499 (folios 7r-5v); 3. a letter headed 'Ad Episcopu Verdunen in Gallijs' (folios 4v-3v); 4. an extract headed 'Ex Epistola Italici', folio 3r; 5. two extracts from Reuchlin's 'De arte cabalistica' (folios 2r-1v) - the Hebrew words are represented by blanks in these extracts.
Folio 12r contains a note in French, signed R (i.e., according to a pencil note below, A. A. Renouard of Paris), stating that the Latin pieces nos. 1-4 and the entry on folio 206r are in the handwriting of Johannes Reuchlin, and that no. 5 is rather later.

Foliated several times: in 1576 the leaves now numbered 13-205 were marked 1-192 (number 137 is repeated); in the middle of the lower margin is a later foliation in red ink; much later is the enumeration 1-206 counted backwards, on account of the Latin portions at the beginning and at the end.

Quires of mostly 16 leaves each, marked by catchwords at the end (only partly preserved).
Condition
Water-damaged (especially the upper margin).
Slightly worm-eaten towards the gutter.

Otto Gereon von Gutmann of Sobernheim, archbishop of Cyrene: inscribed, 1624: folios 205r-205v; his coat of arms, folio 205v. A seal is affixed to the left-hand lower corner on folio 205r, and also on the lower margin of folio 13r.
