Provenance and Acquisition

Mordekhai Ottolenghi and Rafa᾿el Ḥayim Ottolenghi: inscribed with their names (folio 151v).

Shalom Latif of Jerusalem sold the manuscript to R. Mosheh ben Avraham for 50 gold ducats at Bologna in 5219 (1459): inscribed sale entry in Hebrew: folio 161v.

Luigi da Bologna, a converted Jew working for the Inquisition as censor (active 1590-1610): inscribed with his name as censor: 'Visto per mi Fra Luigi del ordine di San Domenico del 1599' (folio 160r), see [Popper_1969] 104.

Yeḥi᾿el Naḥman Fo᾿ah, 17th-century collector of Hebrew manuscripts and early printed books: inscribed with his name (folios 1r, 2r).

Livorno Sig. Carissimo Caro: inscribed with his name, a later owner(?) (1790-1809) (front flyleaf (ii)v).

Entry of the catalogue of Payne and Foss (inscription on a strip of paper pasted on front flyleaf (ii)v).
