Numerous decorations: 2 full-page miniatures of the Temple implements, masoretic lists in architectural frames, masorah in micrographic design.
Masorah magna usually occupies two lines of the upper and three lines of the lower margin of each page. It is frequently written in the form of ornamental design, often that of a candlestick.
Exodus, Numbers, Jeremiah, Malachi, Psalms, Song of Songs, Esther and Ezra-Nehemiah begin a new column, and Leviticus and Proverbs begin a new leaf.

Note of birth: Joseph, the brother of a previous owner was born on 15 Nisan 5253 [1493] (folio 437r).

Prince Augustus Frederick (b. 1773, d. 1843), Duke of Sussex: his armorial book-plate, inscribed (inner front cover); his sale 31 July 1844, lot 101: inscribed (folio 437v), purchased by the British Museum through Thomas Rodd the younger (b. 1796, d. 1849), bookseller for £41. English inscription, 19th century: 'The date assigned to this MS by Mr Pettigrew (Bibl. Suss. i. p. xii. No. 2) and marked on the binding is erroneous and arises from his having mistaken the note at the end of the volume for the date of the copy whereas it refers only to the birthday of the son of a former possessor of the MS' (folio [438v]).
