Catchwords on the last page of the quire.
Condition
There is a lacuna after f. 242.
Manuscript is also defective at the end and folio 155 is only partially preserved.

Uniform layout.
The first word in Isaiah and Hagiographa is written in large ornamental characters. In the other prophetical books the blank space reserved for the first word has not been filled up.
The number of Psalms is 159.
Masorah magna occupies two lines in the upper and three lines in the lower margin.
Pricking and ruling (with hard-point on the hair side of the folio) are visible.
Hand(s)
Ashkenazi square script, main text is punctuated, masorah is unpunctuated. Shelomoh, inscribed with his name in the scribal formula on ff. 83r, 178v.

Ya῾aḳov ben Yo᾿ets; his inscription within the initial word of the Song of Songs, folio 86v.
Dated inscription and memorandum on paper fly-leaf, f. 1r, 4894 (1136, antedated).

Adam Clarke (b. 1762, d. 1832), Wesleyan Methodist minister and scholar: his bookplate with Greek inscription: ‘ho theos agape estin’ (inner upper cover); purchased for his library in 1823 in Utrecht. This codex, together with nine other manuscripts (Additional 9398-9407, see George Margoliouth, Catalogue of the Hebrew and Samaritan Manuscripts in the British Museum, 4 vols (London: British Museum, 1899-1935; vols I-III repr. 1965); IV, Introduction, Indexes, ed. by Jacob Leveen (London: British Museum, 1977), no. 119, 120, 70, 71, 73, 81, 143, 172.), was acquired by the British Museum in 1834, once the property of the Hagen family and then of Adam Clarke.
