15 quires of 8 leaves each (folios 1-120), signed at the end with Hebrew letters (numbering continues from the previous volume, Add MS 17049).
25 quires of 8 leaves each (folios 126-325), signed at the end with Hebrew letters.
Folio 326 is a separate leaf and folio 327 is a paper flyleaf attached to the manuscript in 1610 or later.
Folios 328-330 belonged earlier to a different manuscript.
Condition
The lower section of folio 323 has been cut with loss of text.

Sefardi square and Ashkenazi semi-cursive script of the 14th century. Shemayah: his name marked off on folio 19r and 105r, and marked off in acrostic on folio 41v and 236v.
Additions:Folios 328-330: fragments of Pisḳe ha-Rosh; each page is divided into 3 columns with 48 lines to a column. Ashkenazi square script of porbably the 14th century.

Origin: 1386 Italy?Provenance and Acquisition
Folio 327: an Italian document (paper), dated Lugo, Febr. 16, 1610, by which permission was given to Salvator Salamon Ravena to transfer this manuscript to Modena. There are several names appearing in the document: L. Franguelli, inquisitore et riveditore; Fr. Agostino da Lugo, vicario di santo offizo di Lugo; Fr. Julius de Lugo, loco vicarii; Fr. Paulus, inquisitor Bonon.; Fr. Michael Angelus, inquisitor Mutinensis; Fr. Stephanus di Meldola, notarius inquisitorius Mutinensis (?).
Mosheh Shapira: inscribed (folio 126r), perhaps the same as Mosheh ben Yosef mentioned in the colophon on page 210v, volume 1, Add. 17049.
Camillo Jaghel: inscribed with his name, 1613 (folio 326v); see [Popper_1969] , appendix § 50-56.
Renatus a Mutina: inscribed with his name, 1621 (folio 326v).
Gir[olamo] de Durallano[de Predi?]: censor's signature and note 1640 (folio 326v) , on him see [Popper_1969] , appendix § 89.

Thomas Rodd the younger (b. 1796, d. 1849): purchased from him by the British Museum on 23 October 1847 (Macdonald's sale, lot 157): inscribed in volume 1 (Add MS 17049), back flyeaf (i)v.
