Before the list of manuscripts and printed books (ff. 4-13), there is a printed leaf of the English translation of Solomon da Costa's letter (f. 1) and the handwritten version of the English translations (ff. 2-3).

Solomon da Costa presented his manuscripts and printed books to the British Museum on 02 June 1759. Da Costa's original letter is dated 31 May 1759, London.
