Flesh and hair sides are clearly distinguishable.

Watermark [coat of arms with fleur-de-lis, beneath: LVG] is similar to [Heawood_1950] 1852.

Hand(s)

Italian-Ashkenazi semi-cursive script, unpunctuated. The letter 'alef' is in a Sefardi style throughout. Arieh Ḥalfan ben Eli῾ezer Ḥalfan: inscribed with his name in the colophon, together with Pinḥas Yaḳar ben Yitsḥaḳ Yaḳar: dated Tamuz 5251, folio 191r.

A former owner's note, folio 1v: שלי [... ].  קניתיו אלינקנטו בדמים יקרים ה' יזכני להגות בו אני וזרעי וזרע זרעי עם שאר ספרי הקדש ברוב טוב וחיים טובים וברכה ושלו' מעתה ועד עולם. Owner's name has been cut out after the word שלי.
