The short preface is followed by the statement indicating the contents of all the four 'gates', then follows the first 'gate'.
The fragment on the second 'gate' starts on folio 38r.

Renato da Modena: inscribed in the censor's entry: 'Visto per mi fr. Renato da Mod.', see [Popper_1969] 132-133; folio 76v.
Giuseppe Almanzi (b. 1801, d. 1860), bibliophile his manuscript no. 156, II; his library including 322 medieval Hebrew manuscripts were purchased en bloc by the British Museum through Asher & Co. in October 1865 for £1,000 through Asher & Co., Berlin bookseller and dealer to the British Museum (see [Paisey_1997] 131-153).
