Perush ha-Torah ῾al derekh ha-ḳabalah
Contents
Summary of Contents: A kabbalistic commentary on the Pentateuch, consisting of excerpts from the Zohar, Tiḳune Zohar, Sefer Temunah, and other works.Language(s): Hebrew, Jewish Babalonia Aramaic
ff. 1r-214vTitle: Perush ha-Torah ῾al derekh ha-ḳabalahTitle: פרוש התורה על דרך הקבלהCommentary on Genesis, folio 2r; on Exodus, folio 96v; on Leviticus, folio 138r; on Numbers, folio 165v; on Deuteronomy, folio 185v.
Apart from the excerpts from the Bahir, Zohar, Tiḳune Zohar, Sefer Temunah, Me᾿irat enayim etc., there is a less known commentary of Judah Kafanton, beginning on folio 107r. The work contains also a translation of parts of the Zohar by David ben Yehudah he-Hasid (see further [Idel_Zohar_1981] 97.
It is plausible to assume that the scribe, Yudah ben Shelomoh de Bolognese, was also a compiler and a redactor of the volume. See further A. David, 'Mif᾿alo ha-historiografi shel Gedalyah ibn Yahya', (PhD Dissertation: The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, 1976), pp. 189, 372-375.
