The beginning of the introduction and the end of Sefer ha-Madaʿ were supplemented in an Ashkenazi cursive hand.

Until the middle of the second chapter of Halakhot Megilah ṿe-Ḥanukah.

At the end of the manuscript is a riddle-poem under the name of Yaʿaḳov, bearing the acrostic signature of this name. begins with ידיד נפשי לך אגיד צפונות.

Collation

Indeterminable due to too tight binding, but the arrangment of paper and parchment leaves suggests that the innermost and the outermost leaves of the quires being parchment.

Catchwords on some of the leaves.

Condition

Numerous paper leaves have been fixed, patched.

F. 1 is very damaged.

Water damage, usage stains.

Text in places has faded away, barely legible (e.g. f. 82v).

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 90; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 16 August 1927.
